The Treasury Director will be leading the treasury function with a strong focus on various debt and capital markets initiatives such as securitization, debt raising and management of existing debt facilities. The person will also be leading and expanding the regional treasury function of the company and as such will actively manage and monitor the group’s liquidity and working capital requirements, asset liability management, reporting of financial positions and covenants, foreign exchange management and treasury payment and collections operations. A successful candidate should demonstrate team leadership and fit with our cultural values. Your biggest role will be to develop and execute the company’s debt capital markets (“DCM”) strategy and planning. Together with the investor team, you will be directly involved in institutional all debt raising activities (long- and short-term debt, across different currencies with exposure to both institutional as well as high net worth fundraising client segments).
What you will do: *

  • You will be leading the treasury function and will further finetune and define the treasury framework and strategy with the CFO and the team
  • Together with the CFO, you will (re)negotiate the terms (financial and legal) for capital instruments such as debt, bonds, decentralised finance and our securitization program
  • You build on relationships with existing credit providers, preparing lender reports to meet deadlines and submitting further applications for funding
  • You manage relationships with all relevant parties in the treasury network (lenders, bankers, investors, credit rating agencies, trustees, lawyers, credit funds etc.) and prepare loan proposals and credit monitoring data for various debt instruments, including covenant tracking
  • You will ensure that all treasury-related trading activities (largely foreign exchange related) comply with the market risk management guidelines and applicable liquidity regulations, and implement the hedging strategies as required
  • You will oversee the implementation of a Treasury management software to enable the automation, governance and value added analysis of our treasury operations
  • You will lead liquidity risk stress-testing and scenario analysis, and report to the senior management about the implementation status and testing results together with the group risk function
  • You will manage the group’s liquidity for both operational as well as lending requirements
  • You will use external and market benchmarks to measure performance
  • You will be handling and managing the credit rating process end to end
  • You will manage due diligence requests from prospective investors, research and gather necessary information and prepare a comprehensive response

What we are looking for:

  • You bring in 8-10 years’ relevant experience in the (commercial) corporate treasury field, ideally in a financial institution
  • You have a passion for the commercial side of treasury and have experience with it
  • You have a well-developed understanding of: debt, bonds, derivatives, hedging, multi-currency, forex and international funds flows, in particular the Asia Pacific jurisdiction and cross border regulations relating to payment and collections as well as lending
  • You understand the foundations of tax, legal, accounting, treasury control and treasury IT
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, a post graduate or MBA will be a plus
