This is a newly created position with the copper trading team. You will support Copper Division in trade related matters, in accordance with Company’s operation policy and within approved trading limits.


Pre-trade activities support
KYC/STC/Business Partner registration
Credit Line applications for new/existing counterparties and warehousing
Manage internal / external stakeholders’ engagement on liaison for financials and trading contracts with support from front desk and in-house Legal team

Trade and post trades activities
Responsibility for assigned trading / operations and seek necessary approvals in accordance with the company’s policies and guidelines
Monitor and follow up on physical commercial contract status with counterparties to ensure full contract execution
Monitor and take necessary initiatives to implement or ensure controls on commercial/ credit/ risks/ market risks (including hedging activities in the future market) are in place
Timely reporting of trade recap/contract memo to middle office and accuracy in entries of trade data into in-house trading system, with close collaboration with middle office to resolve discrepancies
Collaborate and assist operation team on execution of contracts on day-to-day shipping matters (incl. LC, OBL, etc.) related to trades, seeking clarifications from Credit, Legal or others as necessary
Manage internal/external stakeholder engagements and resolve customer complaint (if required).

Support ad-hoc requests from support function teams and provide trade related data or information
Take initiatives in supporting colleagues outside of assigned markets to enhance total value/ trading portfolio of the global Copper team
Contribute to ad-hoc projects or trading system changes/upgrades with middle office colleagues
Create reports as required by head of commodity
Perform other related duties as required during working hours


Bachelor in Business, International Trade (relevance)
2-5 years of relevant experience in Commodities Trading for Copper concentrates
Ability to handle high volume in fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of business operations flow in letter of credit, Trade finance
Exposure to contracting and basic legal understanding
Knowledge on paper markets and hedging
Proficient in Microsoft Excel such as pivot table/VLOOKUP
