Position SummaryThis Analyst position is an integral part of the Procurement organisation, partnering with the Category and Sourcing Leaders of all three clusters, Raw Materials, Indirect and Services, and Logistics. This role resides within the Procurement Centre of Expertise.This Analyst must be self-driven with a proven ability to collect and analyse data, draw conclusions, and present findings to drive robust category strategies. In addition, this Analyst must possess an ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment while meeting procurement goals and business needs.Key Outputs: What we can expect from you Locates, compiles, analyses, and organizes all relevant spend data to meet category objectives. This includes a complete understanding of spend (historic, baseline, forecast) in accordance with the category’s supply base and business projections. Compares data from multiple sources to draw conclusions with proven ability to format and present findings in a clear, logical, and presentable manner. Locates and organizes category and sub-category supplier contracts with a proven ability to understand contract terms to aid in opportunity assessment. Performs category supplier landscape analysis, inclusive of understanding existing supply base and the respective historic performance. Performs ongoing sub-category market research to ensure a clear understanding of the full supplier landscape and the relationships between their capabilities and our business requirements. Supports the RFx process aligned with category strategy goals, which includes but is not limited to: decision/evaluation criteria, response analysis, negotiation analysis, and supplier selection. Takes action to identify, analyse and improve existing processes within the Category Management organization to maximize opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness and meet new goals and objectives. Proactively monitors and analyses performance and trends within category in order to identify and highlight issues and opportunities that support the business. Acts as interface between Procurement and Finance function with regards to quantifying financial benefits, creating, maintaining, updating savings reporting (actuals, projection, deviation analysis). Contributes to the development of improved strategic sourcing strategies. Supports category leaders in evaluating high impact cost reduction opportunities. Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management. The successful candidate will also get exposure to multiple levels in the organisation across different functions as well as external parties.A successful candidate is likely to have: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines i.e., Mathematics, Physics, Business Studies or related disciplines Ideally 3 or more years of relevant working experience in related field Advanced analytical skills which include the ability to refine, manufacture, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data and present impactful insights. Proven ability to communicate and/or present information logically and clearly. Demonstrates knowledge of procurement operations and the strategic sourcing process. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines that require frequent communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills. Proven track record for working effectively in a team environment and cultivating strong internal and external relationships. Quickly gains and applies knowledge, understanding and skills and actively participates in learning experiences. Strong quantitative background. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Proficiency with structured data e.g. SQL. Proficiency with a data visualisation tool e.g. Tableau or PowerBI. Knowledge of a scripting language, either Python or R. Proficiency with digital / e-procurement tools. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Previous experience highly desirable with category analysis strategic sourcing process preparation of fact-based analyses for supplier negotiation documents. raw material price formula modelling and analysis.
