Job Detail

Senior Director, Regional Commercial Lead is a key role to support and coordinate the commercial excellence and lifecycle management of products/portfolio performance in EM Asia.
The role will report and work closely with the Regional Cluster President EM Asia to impact performance of nine (9) markets and realise the full potential of the region’s transformational goals with a focus on three key areas:
1. EM Asia operating planning Management: Develop the regional operating plan, work closely with Regional Finance and Regional President on OP, LE and resource allocation decisions to provide guidance to the country teams.
2. Deployment of regions commercialization strategies: Support the development and implementation of regional strategies, life-cycle management and business development / innovative commercial opportunities to maximize the regional performance.
3. Performance optimisation: Assess the progress of Key Regional priorities by establishing KPI Measures (metrics), review resourcing capacities across countries including enable deployment of essential commercial capabilities and core value to support the strategies and performance of EM Asia.
The role will be a key member of the EM Asia Leadership Team and will provide input and help shape strategy and focus for the region within commercial and enabling functions to deliver the operating plan commitments. In addition, the role will be integral in enabling the transformation and presence as an enterprise leader.
  • Work with the EM Commercial Team to align regional and local strategy to the global brand strategies.
  • Lead regional Operating Plans and provide guidance into country team in partnership with Finance, RTALs, Regulatory, Supply, Country team and the Regional President.
  • Lead the Strategic Portfolio Analysis to prioritized products/portfolios and resource allocations in partnership with EM Marketing team, Finance, RTALs, Regulatory, Supply, Country team and the Regional President.
  • Investigate environmental drivers to identify growth opportunities while ensuring right prioritization of resources and efforts across countries and brands.
  • Partner with regional and country commercial leadership to identify and implement strategic non-continuous projects which will address specific market needs with significant impact e.g., ROAR, Symphony.
  • Lead the strategic discussion with country team and regional leaders to challenge the status quo and innovate our go to market model with right enablers of performance metrics / KPI e.g. PowerGrid .
  • Embed the capabilities of agile methodology and lightspeed behaviours in collaboration with People Exp, EM Asia LT and Extended LT to drive culture shift and ways of working in the region.
  • Lead Regional cross functional task forces (i.e. COVID 19 regional TF, RTS/F governance, Covid vaccine country engagement etc.) to provide timely guidance to commercial country colleagues.
  • Partner with GCO and Digital team to improve the digital capability, virtual promotion readiness, virtual channel adoption across regions (e.g. on demand training, global program acceleration etc.)
  • Connect with EM Marketing global and other EM regional leaders to share or learn best practice to maximize the impact and value across regions.
  • Partner with People Exp. and GCO to plan and implement regional incentive and recognition programs (i.e. honor circle award).
  • Share and implement insights to maximize lifecycle product performance through excellence in execution.
  • Support efforts at a regional level for portfolio assessment and decision making for resource allocation and prioritisation.
  • Monitor country performance objectives as it relates to regional performance. Work with members of the EM Asia LT to develop corrective actions, as required.
  • Deliver greater simplicity and agility in decision making at the regional level.
  • Degree in Science, Health Sciences or Business and/or MBA is preferred
  • Depth in experience in commercial strategy (marketing, product, and/or life-cycle) and operations management
  • Proven success leading within matrixed, cross-geographic, multi-cultural environments
  • Demonstrated enterprise leadership
  • High accountability, agility, ability to manage complexity to deliver performance with integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and strong stakeholder management
  • Strong communication skills
