As we continue to add advertising on TikTok, this team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community.

MI Team

As a part of monetization department, MI should be specifically designed to best serve monetization need.

⁣MI is same to content safety as severe leakage could be fatal to our apps, but it’s different from content safety in that: overkill in content safety lead to damage to user experience (hard to measure), whereas overkill in monetization means instant loss of profit. This means for us, controling overkill is as important as controling leakage.

⁣MI should try to be one of the engines to drive the growth.

About the Role

  • Identify, investigate, and communicate emerging risks in TikTok ads ecosystem;
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, protocols, and policies at scale to reduce risk;
  • Develop and track risk KPIs across teams; work to ensure alignment of multiple stakeholders across Product, Policy, Engineering, Strategy, and Sales; work together to implement solutions;
  • Become an expert in TikTok Ads infrastructure, policies, products, tools, systems, and data;
  • Serve as primary point of contact to provide ad-hoc and regular risk investigations support to stakeholders in Ads Policy and Product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in any disciplines
  • 1 to 3 years of risk investigations and operational experience, preferably in an online operations, trust & safety, consulting, business analytics, or intelligence research environment;
  • Experience conducting complex analyses and translating the results into recommendations;
  • Experience in and/or demonstrable knowledge of domains such as risk, payments, ecommerce, information security, and/or online advertising;
  • Strong and demonstrable systems thinking skills;
  • Experience with SQL or Python strongly preferred;
  • Proficient in English and Korean language as you will predominantly be covering the APAC market
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and regions
  • Ability to find win-win solutions that meet the objectives of cross-functional partners while reducing risk
