Job Description

Responsibilities

Strategic And Operational Execution

  • Supports Retail Lead in the development of the country’s Strategic Business Plan and Annual Financial Plan
  • Drives retail productivity and profitability improvement, customer service excellence, equity and revenue growth from retail operations.
  • Aligns retail operations standards and measures on KPI’s, store locations, store sizes, formats, assortments and systems with the Global / Cluster Retail team.
  • Drives consistent and sustainable Retail KPI growths across all the Retail stores
  • Identifies opportunities and drive the development and implementation of new and/or improvement plans as needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes retail performance; provide direction / build appropriate interventions to improve retail profitability and productivity.
  • Consistently sets a clear direction for the country; create alignment and focus through consistent communication, reinforcement and follow-up on company, regional and country priorities and expectations
  • Displays a high level of financial acumen; analyze business results, identify trends and recognize/maximize sales generation potential; systematically coach the team on business analysis skills
  • Manage the controllable operating expenses to keep within the agreed budget
  • Identifies opportunities and drive the development and implementation of new and/or improvement plans as needed.

Real Estate

  • Supports the Retail Lead in driving the real estate / space acquisition strategy in line with marketplace mapping and the retail business strategy anchored on the Global / Cluster retail direction
  • Keeps abreast of the latest real estate opportunities in Singapore and makes appropriate recommendations to the Retail Lead

Drive & Enable Execution Excellence

  • Translates Global company strategies into clear objectives and action plans for the country across retail stores
  • Ensures implementation of all elements of retail strategy in line with Global / Cluster guidelines/standards across all stores
  • Creates a disciplined culture that focuses on operational excellence and flawless execution; displays a high level of personal conviction toward creating accountability and maintaining a culture of operational excellence
  • Ensures consistent and effective Brand Experience across all retail stores by consistently executing and maintaining established Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards in all the stores.
  • Ensures excellent consumer service in all stores, meeting Mystery Shopper target levels
  • Reviews doors against defined ground rules and parameters and determines store segmentation
  • Drives execution of in-country customer service, product & brand trainings.
  • Ensures all training tools provided by Regional Training team are used at the store level
  • Drives development of store staff and a service culture through retail training, coaching & development
  • Supports initiatives from global / cluster and leverage best practices
  • Ensures all administrative procedures like the raising of Purchase Orders, approval of overtime claims etc are executed accurately and on time.

Team Capability Development

  • Manages District Managers and Store Managers and enables them to build a cohesive, high-performing, inclusive team
  • Conducts regular training and coaching sessions to reinforce learnings about the brand story, product and retail operating procedures.
  • Creates a high level of engagement, passion and desire to excel; builds a foundation of trust, rapport and respect within the team; sets high standards, empowers and encourages others to achieve; consistently recognizes individual and team performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • At least 8 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment with minimum of 5 years’ experience in leadership/managerial capacity.
  • Good business acumen; able to identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business
  • Strong, independent leadership skills to manage and drive solutions/results
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Strong project management & analytical skills
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Good team building, interpersonal skills, and coaching and people development skills
  • High level presentation, influencing & commercial negotiation skill
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and multi-cultural sensitivity
  • A team player with positive mental attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate positive mindset and can-do attitude
  • Innovative and strategic thinker
  • Fluent English in written and spoken. Able to converse in other language(s) is an added advantage
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Willing to travel
