Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to provide administrative support to the Procurement Department in ensuring a consistent supply of products at the right quantity, quality, price and time to meet customers’ needs
  • Conduct checks on documentation required for trade transactions
  • Assist in trade purchasing process, product and import process (handle import declaration, liaise with freight (forwarders/hauliers), claim process and documentation and to comply with statutory rules and regulations
  • Monitor and analyse prevailing product pricing and availability of products
  • Join in strategic sourcing activities, perform supplier sourcing, evaluation, assessment and selection, performance monitoring and vendor relationship management according to organization SOP and policies
  • Actively seeking for cost saving initiatives
  • Aware with market information for example price trend and supply availability to have effective pricing negotiation with suppliers
  • Maintain updated purchasing records, supplier master and product information and other important data in the system
  • Play active role in resolving quality and delivery issues with suppliers
  • Work together with various inter-departments to execute the procurement initiatives, leading to completing the project within timeline successfully
  • Collaborate with operations and finance department to facilitate payment process to suppliers
  • Monitor daily usage, delivery schedules and quality of incoming shipment of products
  • Assist in monitoring the procurement budget and expenses
  • Assist in the set-up of regional procurement policy, procurement standardization, review procurement process and workflow and make recommendation. Educate operations on the changes and/or standardization
  • Assist in establish regional sourcing scheme to expand business
  • Consolidating existing local sourcing suppliers and negotiate regional sourcing business scheme
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by superior


  • Minimum Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Experience in import permit declarations will be added advantages
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SAP B1 is an advantage
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
  • Proven project management skills, proactive and professional in manner with a high degree of integrity, initiative, strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver, willingness to take responsibility and drive improvements
  • Excellent customer service, able to work under pressure and independently
  • Willing to travel oversea for market research purpose as and when required
  • Able to start work immediately or within short notice
