Job Purpose and Impact
The Technology Design Associate Director will develop and mature the company’s discovery and design capabilities, provide critical insights to the company’s digital labs leadership team and work with other leaders in software engineering and product management to define strategy, processes and methodologies that enable the design team to guide the development of valuable software products and services at the company. In this role, you will guide teams in user research, user experience, wireframe creation and user interface design to deliver finished solutions as a subject matter authority. Key Accountabilities
Contribute to a well balanced design team structure, define and guide responsibilities for team members, be accountable for project or product prioritization and represent the team in executive and product team reviews to magnify the value of design.
Develop and maintain scalable frameworks, team processes, guidelines and best practices that maximize the effectiveness and impact of the design team.
Deliver the organization’s product design strategy and future direction and contribute to the organization’s shared knowledge of human centric design and research methods.
Cultivate and reinforce long term partnerships with product teams to help deliver business value.
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Other minimum qualifications apply Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years of industry experience and knowledge in user experience related disciplines and human centered design principles
Proven proficiency with design and product management tools
Three years of supervisory experience
Proven record of effectiveness in business and team culture, leading product direction, design thinking, development of product goals and identifying opportunities
Expertise in best practices for information architecture, product design and research as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
Experience working in the food or agriculture technology fields
Proven experience developing strong products while keeping apprised of industry best practices
