Job Detail

Job Responsibilities

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for preparing the payroll of all Management and non-management employees and ensuring strict confidentially.
  • To verify overtime claims against Attendance Report.
  • To prepare salary statistics required by Ministry of Labour, CPF Board, IRAS or any other Statutory Boards.
  • To co-ordinate with the Human Resources Department on enquiries regarding employees’ salaries and wages
  • To prepare salary for resigning employees ensuring that clearance is obtained from all departments and any outstanding advances are deducted on the final day.
  • To prepare Form IR21 for computation for tax purposes.
  • To check computation of casual labour wages and update payroll system for CPF contributions and tax requirements.
  • To ensure accuracy in computation of overtime, split shifts, AWS and bonus payments.
  • To ensure that new data/changes regulated by the government are properly updated in the Payroll System.
  • To process monthly payroll with appropriate adjustments and deductions
  • To submit Bank Transfer List to bank for salary payment.
  • To prepare payroll journal for GL posting

Job Requirements

We are looking for a well-organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:

  • Minimum ‘O’ Level
  • At least 2 – 3 years similar capacity
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Well-versed in Employment Act, CPF Act and IRAS
  • Knowledge of payroll software “Timesoft” is preferred
