Overview The Healthy Food & Dining (HFD) division of the organisation is to design, develop and implement multiple-prong food strategies to: 1) create a supportive environment to make healthier food and drinks option pervasive and accessible by working with food manufacturers, retailers and F&B partners to increase the supply and adoption of healthier choice products, healthier food and beverages across all eat-in / eat-out settings through sustainable health promotion policy and programs such as Healthier Ingredients & Development Scheme (HIDS), Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS), Healthier Dining Program (HDP), Healthier Meals School Program (HMSP) and;2) change Singaporeans’ eating habits through large scale and regular promotions and engagements through offline to online channels such as Eat Drink Shop Healthy Challenge etc to reduce Singapore’s burden of obesity. This role is to lead this department to identify, develop and execute these strategies.What you can expect The Deputy Director (HFD) reports to the Director (HFD) and is responsible for the oversight of the strategic development of HFD’s programmes and partnership engagement. To spearhead greenfield strategic projects to set up a tech-enabled food ecosystem, division planning and corporate reporting as well as design public education to increase nutrition literacy with alignment to HPB’s strategic intent to further the mandate of the division. Apart from providing stewardship to the department on its developmental and partnership directions, the Deputy Director should be able to lead a team to drive HFD’s strategy and planning and support the division’s long-term vision of integrated offline to online customer-centric approach to promote all healthy lifestyles such as eat well, exercise more, mental wellness, regular health screening etc.The incumbent must be able to develop multiple-prong programs to support HFD’s strategy over the entire food chain from manufacturers to retailers to different types of F&B establishments, drive take up rate of Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) in various settings and steer strategic alliances with partners and stakeholders to promote healthier food choice as a default across all settings and drive key strategic projects such as a tech-enabled food eco-system connecting across all food programs, food partners and consumers to move towards precision public health.What an ideal candidate looks like The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual with at least 10-15 years of working experience (preferably at a middle management level), and possesses: Diverse experience in Business Development/Management, Product/ Brand Portfolio Management, Product Marketing, ideally with experience in the Food-related manufacturing industry, F&B or FMCG industry; Experience in digital consumer promotion; Strategic corporate and project planning; Exposure to development and management of database systems, digital products and business intelligence processes will be preferred; Strong planning, analytical and project management skills; Strategic and critical thinking skills; Strong collaborative and partnership building skills; Effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Interested applicants, please email your CV to: [ Email address blocked ] EA Licence No: 14C7334EA Personnel No: R1550439We regret that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
