The Corporate Strategy Manager will drive Funding Societies’ strategic projects such as strategy development, (programmatic) M&A, business roadmap, portfolio reviews and post-merger integration. Aside from this, the professional will facilitate strategy offsites with senior management. The professional will deeply understand the business its current capabilities and the long-term strategy (geographic and product), with potential future P&L responsibility.
What you will do:

  • Lead strategic projects as the strategy business partner for our business leads and execute them to fruition, as a hands-on execution leader
  • Conduct market entry study, M&A strategy and high-level business roadmaps including revenue pools, macro data, competitive landscape and regulatory landscapeEducate team with strategic analyses of latest global macro trends and synthesized actionable “So Whats”, communicated in a Minto pyramid and data-driven manner
  • Work with CFO and CEO on equity fundraising equity, developing pitch decks, financial/ valuation analyses and financial modeling
  • Keep abreast with key competitors and leading global comparable, breaking down their business models, and synthesizing key insights as well as developments
  • Identify acquisition and investment targets, lead negotiation and due diligence, and work with external service providers (e.g., audit firms) and the deal captain where relevant
  • Conduct post-merger integration (PMI) with invested firms to ensure smooth integration and/ or achievement of strategic goals. Work with FP&A team and CFO to monitor performance

What we are looking for:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the Strategy and/or Corporate Development area. Preferably with a strategy consultant, high growth company, or a FinTech
  • Experience at the Big 3 strategy consultants (MBB), or equivalent, would be an advantage
  • Understanding of how banks and financial services work
  • Experience working in both a start-up or small company environment, as well as a big corporate
  • Advanced modeling (incl. pivot tables, data tables) and presentation skills

  • Validated performance in a high pressure, high growth environment
